ClinicalTrials.gov now lists results from NCT00712335, a completed Phase 4 study titled “The Effects of Montelukast on Smokers With Asthma.”

The registry reports data from 105 enrolled participants across asthma and control groups. The study compared montelukast-based treatment with an inhaled fluticasone–salmeterol combination in the asthma groups; the registry tables include participant flow and clinical outcome measures.

These are registry results rather than a new treatment recommendation. The posted tables should be interpreted in the context of the study design, withdrawals and the absence of an independent clinical assessment in this report.
